About Belina

Hello, my name is Belina Louvrou, I am from Corfu, Greece, and I am a Registered Psychologist and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist specializing in Play Therapy. I am also a Clinical Supervisor offering supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, play therapists and other health care professionals.

For the last 7,5 years I’ve been working in London, UK with children and families offering play therapy and parenting support. My husband is from Cyprus and so, when in 2018 we felt that it was time for a change we decided to move to Limassol. That was the beginning of a new exciting chapter in my life as I was then able to set up my private practice and offer my services to children and their families in Limassol. Moving to a new country and setting up my private practice was scary and exciting at the same time but it was one of my biggest dreams to create a space where families and children can feel safe and are being supported.

The idea of The Healing Stars was born from this dream and I am excited that I’ll be able to use my knowledge and experience from UK, helping children and their families in Limassol. The aim is to provide a holistic approach and the mission is to “Support children and families to have emotionally healthy lives”.

At the end of 2019 I also became a mum to a baby girl. The journey of motehrhood hasn’t been easy and as with most things in life there have been ups and downs.Every day I am learning something new for the world and for myself and I know deep inside me that there is still a lot to learn. There is never really an ending to this. Since I became a mum I feel that I am better able to understand and connect not only with the children that I am working with but also with their parents, and for that….. ‘I thank my baby girl’.

I am a Registered Member of the Cypriot Association of Psychologists (registration number 924) and the BACP (the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) MBACP and I am on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (registration number 238718) accredited by the Professional Standards Authority [PSA] for Health and Social Care, an independent body accountable to UK Government. The BACP Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists is a public record of therapists who have met BACP's standards for registration. These standards cover training, supervision, continuing professional development and a commitment to BACP's Ethical Framework. I am clinically supervised by an experienced and qualified supervisor and undergo annual CPD training to deepen my knowledge and ensure the safety and effectiveness of my practice
