Play Therapy

I offer play therapy to schools and organizations and mentoring to staff in understanding and managing challenging behaviour.

Play therapy offers children a safe and confidential space in which they can be themselves and have the emotional support to express their feelings freely.

“Remember: everyone in the classroom has a story that leads to misbehaviour or defiance. 9 times out of 10, the story behind the misbehaviour won’t make you angry. It will break your heart.” ~ Annette Breaux

What I can offer to your school/organization:

  • I can work with individual children or small groups

  • I offer regular verbal updates to staff and parents and a written end of therapy report

  • I can support staff through regular formal or informal guidance in managing behaviour, understanding child development and supporting social and emotional wellbeing

  • I provide my full play therapy tool kit, which includes sand trays, numerous miniatures, art materials, puppets, musical instruments, books and various other items

  • I will work with the ethos and values of your school/organization and observe the Safeguarding, Health and Safety and other policies set by you

  • I am a registered member of BACP and attend regular clinical supervision

On average 8 out of 10 parents who take part in a Family Links course report significant improvements in their children’s behaviour and family life. Research shows improvements in parental mental health, and increased self-efficacy in emotion and affection, empathy and understanding, and discipline and boundary setting.

The Baby Bonding Programme

I offer the Baby Bonding Programme on small groups to organizations. The programme can be delivered over 6 sessions or on rolling basis. The Baby Bonding Programme has been developed by Debi Maskell-Graham, Director of Big Toes Little Toes.

Big Toes Little Toes  has been an accredited training provider in UK  for over a decade for practitioners who wish to deliver evidence-based attachment programmes with parents, carers and children from pregnancy to adolescence. All of their programmes are built on the very latest validated research findings and can be used by a wide range of practitioners for one-to-one, group and home visiting work. Big Toes Little Toes is under the umbrella of Clear Sky Children’s Charity.

Clear Sky is a UK based charity. They are leaders in providing Play & Creative Arts Therapy in schools in UK. They use a holistic approach working with parents, teachers and other childcare practitioners; whilst keeping the child and play at the heart of everything they do.
