Mum Support Groups

  • Are you having a tough time after giving birth to your baby

  • Surprised at the kind of emotions you’re feeling and the kind of thoughts you are having?

  • Perhaps you’re just numb and not feeling connected to your baby?

  • Do you feel unsupported by your partner, family and friends?

New motherhood is often imagined to be a time of great joy, happiness and excitement. However we know that the reality for many mums can be far from this with low moods, anxiety and worrying thoughts and feelings. Here at The Healing Stars, we support mums to manage the everyday, nurture themselves and dispel the many myths of motherhood.

As a professional I am proud to collaborate with @mum_support_groups in Cyprus because no one should navigate motherhood alone.

What is the mum_support_groups?

The groups are for new mums and mums-to-be and it gives access to a 6-week support group programme- a safe, supportive space designed to help you feel seen, heard and understood.

  • Real talk on topics like emotional wellbeing, identity shifts, relationships, and returning to work

  • Sessions with perinatal specialists

  • A warm, supportive community of mums who get it

Whether you’re pregnant or holding your newborn in your arms, this space if for you - no judgement, no pressure, just support.

Join from home via Google Meet if that works better for you.

Psychological Support

I also offer psychological support to new mums or mums-to-be helping them to deal with the challenges and difficulties arising from or related to the maternity experience. Most of us expect to feel happy, excited and positive during pregnancy, and when our baby is born. But it doesn’t always happen like this.  You can feel many different emotions during pregnancy and after birth.  These can range from love, pride and joy, to worry, sadness and frustration. It is natural to feel stressed or anxious at times during pregnancy - or when you have a new baby. These emotions are quite normal.

My years of experience working with parents and mums and the fact that I recenty became a mother made me realise how important is to focus on the Perinatal Mental Health. The aim of the service is to support and help mums build both a positive relationship with their baby and a sense of confidence in being a mum.
